Five Android Apps to Connect Your Laptop to the Internet

In today?s society, it is relatively easy to connect to the internet. With smart phones, tablets, and laptops enabled with WiFi, social media is literally as far as you fingertips. However, connecting to the internet via your laptop is not always so simple. Networks are often security enabled and passwords are required to connect to the internet.

Below is a list of 5 application available for download on Android mobile that allow users to connect your laptop to the internet via your cellular phone. Best part? They are all free!

PdaNet 3.02

This application, created by June Fabrics Tech, allows users to tether?his or her?Android to their laptop in order to connect to the internet. While the app does not allow the user to stay tethered while on a phone call, the application does include an ?SMS Agent? feature which allows the user to send and receive text messages from their computer screen! The app does require a minimal amount of software to be downloaded to the users laptop, however.

Created by FoxFi Software, this app turns your Android phone into a mobile Hotspot while still allowing you to receive and send calls and ?text messages. FoxFi can be enabled for both WiFi and Bluetooth Hotspots. The application does not require rooting to your Android.

ClockworkMod

ClockworkMod is an application that uses a USB tether to connect your Android phone to your laptop for internet access on the go. Created by ClockworkMod, this application has both a free version and Premium version. This application does require downloading some software to your laptop once again.

Barnacle Wifi Tether application, created by szym.net, turns your Android phone into a Wireless Ad-hoc HotSpot. This application requires rooting.

This application also requires a USB tether to connect your Android to laptop. Once connected it allows users to browse the web. Created by Droid.Apps.

All the applications listed above are fast, easy ways to stay connected. They do not require extra plans on your mobile contract and run on the network speed your Android is already connected to.
